Job Summary: Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, inventory control, quality control, time studies, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, line layouts, production coordination and Bill of Material and Route review.

Essential duties:
  1. Plan and design manufacturing processes and inspection points.
  2. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of production lines and workflow, tooling and equipment, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
  3. Communicate with all departments to establish acceptable standards and process controls.
  4. Initiate and take ownership of process improvement projects.
  5. Lead corrective action teams to identify root cause, effective solutions, and implementation to improve processes throughout manufacturing, while focusing on workmanship and product quality.
  6. Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
  7. Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  8. Record or oversee recording of information to ensure that engineering drawings and documentation of production problems are current and accurate.
  9. Formulate sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  10. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
  11. Observe workers operating equipment or performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate using timing devices.
  12. Process Engineering Change Notices.
  13. Support assembly operations with new model launches.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree; or minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  JOB SUMMARY:
Prepare detailed working drawings of products, parts, machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. Transform initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents. Create BOM’s, routes and drawings. Support other departments and answer questions from internal and external customers. Review current engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for products, parts, mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
  2. Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
  3. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, Bill of Materials, routes and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  4. Produce and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routes as required.
  5. Create prototype drawings and follow them through the prototype runs, design rework, final runs, final BOMs, Routes and drawings as required.
  6. Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery, using computer-assisted equipment.
  7. Complete Blue Sheets (New Product Request Form), Goldenrod Sheets (Pricing Only Request Form) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) accurately and within specified time periods as required.
  8. Create barn steel, ventilation, and lighting layouts for the Sales Department.
  9. Position instructions and comments onto drawings.
  10. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
  11. Design scale or full-size blueprints.
  12. Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
  13. Print drawings for Production Department, as needed.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned.

  QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An Associate’s Degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with CAD software required (preferably SolidWorks).

Pay: Rate of pay up to $17/hr + based off experience.

Job Responsibilities Include: Duties consist of assembly and packaging of ventilation systems and other J&D products using basic hand tools.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand up for 10 hours and lift up to 70 lbs. periodically

Job Summary: Fabricate, weld, and paint parts and components for the manufacture of ventilation systems, stall systems, and other J&D Manufacturing products.

Essential Duties:
  1. Read work orders and blueprints to determine product or job instructions and specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting and bending lines, dimensions, and tolerances.
  2. Set up, operate, and tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal parts.
  3. Load work pieces into machines.
  4. Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
  5. Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.
  6. Inspect, measure, or test completed work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  7. Determine optimal use of material to generate a minimum amount of scrap.
  8. Correctly mark identifying information, such as part numbers, on work piece.
  9. Complete daily and monthly inspections and complete checklists for verification (ex. Crane, respirators, paint boot, etc.)
  10. Record completion of metalworking on specified work orders.
  11. Meet production quotas as assigned.
  12. Verify that ventilation systems are working properly at all times.
  13. Set up, operate, and tend machines to cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, drill, straighten, or manipulate various materials.
  14. Verify machine has been inspected and is in operational order before using, such as completing and operation checklist and certifying that proper safety guards are in place.
  15. Prepare and paint products.
  16. Properly check, clean, and maintain paint equipment, such as filters, per safety guidelines.
  17. Identify needed equipment maintenance and ensure it is reported to your lead.
  18. Communicate with and assist other workers in work area.
  19. Follow good housekeeping practices.
  20. Assist in identifying and resolving quality problems.
  21. Follow all safety precautions and use protective equipment as required.
  22. Identify and immediately correct any safety hazards in work area.
  23. Perform any other duties as assigned.
  24. Responsible for generating team spirit and creating and maintaining a personal attitude and work environment that fosters the highest level of employee cooperation, morale and satisfaction.

Qualifications: A Welding Certificate; or one to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
