Job Summary: Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, inventory control, quality control, time studies, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, line layouts, production coordination and Bill of Material and Route review.

Essential duties:
  1. Plan and design manufacturing processes and inspection points.
  2. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of production lines and workflow, tooling and equipment, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
  3. Communicate with all departments to establish acceptable standards and process controls.
  4. Initiate and take ownership of process improvement projects.
  5. Lead corrective action teams to identify root cause, effective solutions, and implementation to improve processes throughout manufacturing, while focusing on workmanship and product quality.
  6. Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
  7. Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  8. Record or oversee recording of information to ensure that engineering drawings and documentation of production problems are current and accurate.
  9. Formulate sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  10. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
  11. Observe workers operating equipment or performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate using timing devices.
  12. Process Engineering Change Notices.
  13. Support assembly operations with new model launches.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree; or minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm, with the possibility of overtime on Friday.

Pay: Rate of pay up to $17/hr + based off experience.

Job Responsibilities Include: Duties consist of assembly and packaging of ventilation systems and other J&D products using basic hand tools.

Experience / Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Basic hand tool experience
  • Ability to stand up for 10 hours and lift up to 70 lbs. periodically

Pay: Rate of pay is up to $19.00/hr based on experience.

Job Summary: Verify and keep records on incoming shipments.  Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material.

Essential Duties:
  1. Examine contents of received shipments and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
  2. Confer and correspond with other departments to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  3. Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as forklift, handtruck, or sorting bins.
  4. Determine space needs and availability.
  5. Assist Shipping Associate(s) as needed.
  6. Participate in all aspects of final product quality control inspections affected by warehouse and shipping in coordination with Supervisors/Managers and other departments.
  7. Follow good housekeeping practices within the facility, including effective use of all warehouse space, and in external staging areas.
  8. Inspect forklift at the beginning of each shift and follows designated checklist.  Reports all defects/concerns to supervisor/manager immediately.  Submits checklist daily to supervisor/manager.
  9. Perform any other duties as assigned.
  10. Responsible for generating team spirit and creating and maintaining a personal attitude and work environment that fosters the highest level of employee cooperation, morale and satisfaction.

    Qualifications:
    • Must be 18 or older.
    • Experience driving a forklift is required.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Must have excellent attention to detail skills and extreme accuracy

    Pay: Rate of pay is up to $19.00/hr based on experience.

    Job Summary: Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment.  Assemble, address, and ship merchandise or material and arrange for the transportation of products.

    Essential Duties:
    1. Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming and/or outgoing shipments.
    2. Pick, pack, and load orders per standard operating procedures.
    3. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
    4. Confer and correspond with other departments to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
    5. Pack, seal, and label material to prepare it for shipping, using work devices such as hand and power tools.
    6. Attach J&D Manufacturing Shipping Cards on ALL shipments.
    7. Pull completed orders and other products needed to complete orders for shipment based off standard operating procedures and work instructions.
    8. Load orders for customers that arrive on-site to pick up orders, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
    9. Assist in all areas of Shipping/Receiving Department, as needed.
    10. Keep all aisle ways and fire doors free of materials.
    11. Participate in all aspects of final product quality control inspections affected by warehouse and shipping in coordination with Supervisors/Managers and other departments.
    12. Follow good housekeeping practices within the facility, including effective use of all warehouse space, and in external staging areas.
