Job Summary:

Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, inventory control, quality control, time studies, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, line layouts, production coordination and Bill of Material and Route review.

 

Essential duties:

  1. Plan and design manufacturing processes and inspection points.
  2. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of production lines and workflow, tooling and equipment, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
  3. Communicate with all departments to establish acceptable standards and process controls.
  4. Initiate and take ownership of process improvement projects.
  5. Lead corrective action teams to identify root cause, effective solutions, and implementation to improve processes throughout manufacturing, while focusing on workmanship and product quality.
  6. Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
  7. Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  8. Record or oversee recording of information to ensure that engineering drawings and documentation of production problems are current and accurate.
  9. Formulate sampling procedures and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  10. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
  11. Observe workers operating equipment or performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate using timing devices.
  12. Process Engineering Change Notices.
  13. Support assembly operations with new model launches.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree; or minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm, with the possibility of overtime on Friday.

Pay: Starting rate of pay is $14.00/hr + based off experience.

Job Responsibilities Include: Duties consist of assembly and packaging of ventilation systems and other J&D products using basic hand tools.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Basic hand tool experience.
  • Ability to stand up for 10 hours and lift up to 70 lbs. periodically.

  • Experience operating a Mazak CNC and a Cincinnati Laser.
  • Experience nesting, troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on a CNC Mazak and Cincinnati Laser

Job Responsibilities Include: 

  • Determine proper arrangement of orders according to production schedules and work orders.
  • Read, interpret, and understand work orders, drawings, and production schedules to determine specifications, such as material to be used, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Review all nests for sheet utilization and accuracy prior to running machine.
  • Verify parts are set to the correct revision level, downloading from the T drive as necessary.
  • Ensure lasers are loaded with correct material.
  • Set up CNC programs according to work order specifications.
  • Perform CNC programming operations.
  • Verify orders are accurately and efficiently produced by the machines.
  • Unload laser and check for quality of all parts produced.
  • Coordinate distribution of finished work orders to subsequent departments.
  • Complete order request forms for needed inventory.
  • Report levels of in-stock materials weekly.
  • Identify needed maintenance of machines and ensure that parts and lasers are ordered and replaced.
  • Complete daily and monthly crane inspections and complete checklists for verification.
  • Performs card shots, tape shots, etc. to trouble shoot performance issues.
  • Follow good housekeeping practices.
  • Identify and resolve basic quality issues.
  • Follow all safety precautions and use protective equipment as required.
  • Identify and immediately correct any safety hazards in work area.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 4 days a week and 10 hours each day, with the possibility of overtime requirements.

Pay: Starting rate of pay is $16.00/hr-$18.50/hr based on experience.

 

Job Summary:

Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment.  Assemble, address, and ship merchandise or material and arrange for the transportation of products.

 

Essential Duties:

  1. Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming and/or outgoing shipments.
  2. Pick, pack, and load orders per standard operating procedures.
  3. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  4. Confer and correspond with other departments to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
  5. Pack, seal, and label material to prepare it for shipping, using work devices such as hand and power tools.
  6. Attach J&D Manufacturing Shipping Cards on ALL shipments.
  7. Pull completed orders and other products needed to complete orders for shipment based off standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  8. Load orders for customers that arrive on-site to pick up orders, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  9. Assist in all areas of Shipping/Receiving Department, as needed.
  10. Keep all aisle ways and fire doors free of materials.
  11. Participate in all aspects of final product quality control inspections affected by warehouse and shipping in coordination with Supervisors/Managers and other departments.
  12. Follow good housekeeping practices within the facility, including effective use of all warehouse space, and in external staging areas.
  13. Inspect forklift at the beginning of each shift and follows designated checklist.  Reports all defects/concerns to supervisor/manager immediately.  Submits checklist daily to supervisor/manager.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Experience driving a forklift is required.  Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.  Must have excellent attention to detail skills and extreme accuracy.

SUMMARY Great opportunity for a motivated individual to join the J&D Management Team as a Plant Manager. The Plant Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all plant activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of overall operations to maximize profits. The successful candidate will delegate authority to key supervisors to successfully ensure quality performance is obtained within the plant to meet business objectives, policies, and goals.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements and qualifications listed below are representative of the essential duties, knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.   • Direct and coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities of J&D Manufacturing according to policies, principles and procedures established by the President and Vice President.
  • Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and personnel, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Control the operations of Material Requirement Planning (MRP), along with the software and procedures.
  • Work with Human Resources to hire, train, and evaluate employees, reward employees, resolve personnel issues and generate and deliver corrective action notices for disciplinary and discharge documentation.
  • Direct and follow all safety and housekeeping procedures, which includes; ensure all closing checks are done at the end of each day (locking all doors, making sure all employees have left the building, verifying all equipment is properly shut down and lights are off) and ensuring all subordinates follow these procedures.
  • Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
  • Prepare technical reports for use by management for long- and short-term planning and production performance.
  • Prepare and submit; weekly project lists and work lists for subordinates and Manager, as well as monthly reports of Plant operations to the Vice President.
  • Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.
  • Work with Engineering and other departments to evaluate returned product in order to determine why the product failed, who produced it and how to avoid the issue in the future.
