The cremator must be installed on a solid base. We recommend a concrete pad with a minimum requirement of 10′ x 5′ with 5″ reinforced concrete.
The cremator is to be placed outside in open air more than 25′ from the closest structure.
The cremator requires 120V, 60 HZ at 20 amps. Also available for special order are 220 volt 50 HZ units.
J&D currently has three available cremator sizes: 9′ x 52″, 9′ x 60″, 9′ x 64″
J&D Cow Cremators are available for Diesel, Natural Gas, Methane, or LP applications.
Average fuel consumption is between 2-2.25 GPH. Fuel consumption will vary due to the fat content of the animal. Less fuel is required for animals with a higher fat content. The cremator utilizes the fat for fuel and helps reduce the actual fuel consumption.
The burn rate is one hour for each 70 – 100 pounds, but on site research shows farms with up to 130 pounds an hour.
Time may vary, but an estimated time would be between 14 and 20 hours. Research shows farms reporting as low as 10 1/2 hours for a 1500 pound cow.
Yes. All J&D cremators come with an afterburner.
J&D cow cremators typically reduce about 125 pounds of carcass down to 1 gallon of biosecure ash.
The liner can be expected to last between 7,500 and 10,000 hours.
The load capacity is between 2000 to 3000 pounds depending on your cremator model.
On the 9’x52″ cremator, the door is 78″ x 51″.
