Freight/Shipping Policy

All shipments are F.O.B. Eau Claire, WI.

Shipping Method: All shipments are shipped best way unless carrier preference is indicated on the purchase order. 

Freight Estimates: J&D Manufacturing provides freight and shipping estimates as a courtesy to our customers. These estimates are based on information given to J&D at the time of inquiry, and are subject to change due to fuel surcharge, accessory charge, address change, redirected shipments, residential or commercial delivery address, or refused shipments. J&D does not assume liability for any difference in freight estimate versus actual billed freight charges, nor for any damage in transit. Freight estimates are valid for 10 days.

Pickups: All customer pickups require a scheduled appointment with our shipping department a minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to prepare your load. Please call 1-800-998-2398 or e-mail to schedule your pickup. You must include a list of orders that you wish to pick up, as well as details regarding the size of vehicle (i.e. personal vehicle, flatbed, enclosed trailer) so we may notify you of any potential issues prior to your arrival.

All orders must be picked up promptly upon notification from J&D that the order is complete. Any order that is left after 30 days will be shipped at the customer’s expense.  

Special Order Policy

Any product that is issued a “ZZ” part number by J&D Manufacturing is considered a special order, and will require additional lead time. All special orders require a signed dimensional drawing of the finished product prior to manufacturing set up. Special orders are classified as NCNR (non cancelable/non returnable) once your order has been accepted by J&D. No changes may be made once set up begins without incurring additional charges. 


J&D Manufacturing reserves the right to make changes or substitutions without prior notice on material or designs consistent with our policy on product improvement.

Shipping Damage Policy

Always inspect your product upon arrival. Once you sign for a shipment, you take full ownership of the product, with or without damages. J&D Manufacturing recommends that you carefully inspect your shipment upon carrier arrival and report any damages to the carrier at once. Notify J&D immediately of any damages so that we may prepare for refused shipments and gather the appropriate information to resolve the claim. You must notify J&D within 10 working days of product receipt for any concealed damages. 

In the event of freight damage, J&D will file a freight claim on your behalf for any “prepay and add” shipments. For Third Party or Collect shipments, it is your responsibility to file a freight claim with the carrier to recover the cost of product and/or freight charges.

Return Policy

Any item returning to J&D requires a valid Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number.
This includes product returned to J&D Manufacturing for any reason including damage, warranty, incorrect shipment, overstock, etc. The RGA number is used when product is received at J&D in order to properly issue credit on your account. To obtain an RGA number, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-998-2398 or e-mail You must have the part number and invoice number when obtaining an RGA number. RGA numbers expire 30 days from the date of issue.

All product returns must be made within 30 days of purchase, or within the warranty period for warranty claims. Standard J&D products that are returned in “like new” condition will be issued full credit minus a restocking fee up to 25% of original product cost. For products that are returned in less than “like new” condition, the restocking/reconditioning fee will be determined following an inspection of the product by J&D Manufacturing.

Returns are not accepted on special orders or non stock items.

If you believe a product has failed within the specified warranty period, please contact customer service at 1-800-998-2398 or e-mail Have the original J&D invoice number and part number available when submitting a warranty claim.

Customer service will complete the necessary warranty documentation, and notify you if a decision has been made to repair, replace or destroy the defective product or component. Instructions will be provided at that time if all or part of the defective product should be returned to J&D. If a request has been made by J&D to return all or part of a product, a credit will be issued within 30 days of receipt back to J&D unless further investigation is required, or unless it has been determined that the product warranty falls outside the coverage guidelines outlined above in the Product Warranty Policy.

If a replacement product or part is needed to satisfy the warranty claim, please notify customer service when filing your claim, or submit a purchase order. J&D does not automatically ship a replacement in the event of product defect.

J&D provides a one year warranty to the original purchaser on all products that are inspected and proven by J&D Manufacturing to be defective in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to all products unless otherwise noted in the Product Specific Warranties and Exclusions section of our policies.

Products or individual components may be repaired or replaced at the discretion of J&D Manufacturing. 

The warranty period is valid from the date of invoice from J&D Manufacturing, and applies only to products used for the intended purpose under normal use, and does not cover the following:

  • Regular wear and tear
  • Return freight or delivery
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Cost of removal or installation
  • Incidental or consequential damages or labor
  • Misuse, abuse, alterations or negligence
  • Improper installation or installation that does not adhere to installation instructions
  • Improper operation
  • Lack of maintenance to the product
  • Cosmetic rust, corrosion, or staining
